Clashes between West Coast and Fremantle are always brutal — and West Coast Irish import Niamh Kelly found out the hard way today.

The speedster cooped a nasty knock in the second quarter of the game at Fremantle Community Bank Oval, dislocating the pointer finger on her left hand.

Kelly, 25, was having a good game for the Eagles up until that point, setting up the first goal of the game to teammate Aisling McCarty with a pinpoint kick in torrid conditions.

Unfortunately, it looks as if the injury will end her day, with Kelly not sighted on the field after half-time.

West Coast had started the game well and led by four points at the first break as they looked on course for their first win of 2020.

But the Dockers got on top in the second quarter, winning the inside 50 count 11 to one to take the lead 1.6 (12) to 1.1 (7) at the main break.
