A man has been arrested following the death of a woman in Geelong overnight.
Police were called to a property on The Walk in Thomson about 9.30pm on Sunday following reports of an assault, and found the woman in a critical condition.
Officers performed CPR on the woman, who is yet to be formally identified, but she died at the scene.
A man was arrested at the property and is assisting homicide squad detectives with their enquiries.
It’s believed the man and woman are known to each other and police say they are not looking for anyone else in relation to the death.
