Brynne Edelsten has opened up about her sex life, or lack thereof, with Geoffrey Edelsten.

After the high-profile businessman’s death on June 11, aged 78, the Herald Sun ran a previously unpublished interview with Brynne in which she claimed they “never had a sexual relationship” during their five-year marriage.

Now, in a new interview with New Idea, Brynne has gone into more detail about their lack of physical intimacy.

“It wasn’t my decision,” she said. “It was something we never really talked about.

“In the beginning, I assumed we were waiting for marriage, but then it didn’t happen. I thought maybe it was all the medication he was on … then after so long you kind of forget about it.

“It was confusing to me, because in a marriage that’s what you do. To this day, I don’t really understand it,” Brynne said.

Geoffrey and Brynne were married from 2009 to 2014. A year-and-a-half later, the former doctor married his third wife, Gabi Grecko, but that relationship ended after just a few months.

Brynne told New Idea that she last saw Geoffrey in 2015.

“When (Geoff and Gabi) broke up, we had lunch,” she said. “He was telling me about how things ended and he was quite upset about it.

“Gabi and I have never spoken – she was not a fan of me from day one. I never really understood why.”

Brynne, who was 25 when she met Geoffrey on a blind date in Las Vegas, married the multi-millionaire in style. Their lavish wedding on November 29, 2009, would be spoken about for years to come.

The pair, who had a 40-year age gap, raised eyebrows with their jaw-droppingly lavish nuptials which cost a staggering $3.3 million at Melbourne’s Crown Casino.

In an interview with Stellar magazine, Brynne said she never married for money.

“Money is nice. Nobody is going to turn money down. But it was never about that. Believe it or not, Geoff can be very, very nice,” she said of the Melbourne-based businessman.

Brynne was last month arrested and charged with possession and trafficking of the drug ice but claims she will fight the charges “vigorously”.

Police said the raid, which was part of an ongoing investigation, led to the seizure of “what is believed to be magic mushrooms, methylamphetamine, prescription drugs and an allegedly stolen electric bike”.

She was granted bail and will appear before Ringwood Magistrates’ Court on October 8.

She told news.com.au she was “shocked and saddened by these events”.

“Earlier this month, I was charged with criminal charges. I am shocked and saddened by these events and will be vigorously fighting all charges,” she said.

“I am very thankful for the support of the team around me and will not be making any further comment.”
