Next time you board a flight, you may want to rethink wearing tracksuit bottoms or old clothes.
Flight crew have revealed that how you dress could get you better service even in economy – including more drinks.
A JetBlue flight attendant, who remained anonymous, told The Points Guy some of the best way to get extra perks when flying.
When asked what travellers can do to get the “VIP treatment,” the flight attendant said how you dress wouldn’t necessarily get you an upgrade to first class, as is a common belief, but it could get you other perks in economy.

“Presentation matters,” the flight attendant said.
“Now I’m not saying you’ll get into (a premium cabin) simply for how you’re dressed. That’s a myth.
“However, you can control how you’re perceived and how you present yourself. Well-mannered passengers improve their odds at having the beverage cart stop a few extra times by their seat when thirsty.”
Another flight attendant said they often gave out free drinks if you had any small problems with your seat.
“This is the number one way that you can get a free drink on your next flight,” Kat Kamalani, who works as a flight attendant in the US, said.
“So if you’re sitting in your seat and your monitor or airconditioning or something is broken and we can’t fix it, we … can give you free complimentary drinks to make up for that mishap.”
One thing to never do, however? Board with your own booze to drink on the flight.
Try to avoid ordering a Diet Coke too, as many flight attendants have said they are the most annoying drinks to serve due to the higher fizz caused by the cabin pressure, so they take the longest to pour.
