After a few false starts thanks to the pandemic, Louis Tomlinson will finally embark on his world tour in 2022 and this time he’s included a show in Perth.
The former member of One Direction, who released his debut solo album Walls in 2019, will play HBF Stadium on 29 July, 2022 — the final show in his Australasian visit.
“Let’s try this one last time! All shows on my world tour will be moving back to 2022 and I’m excited to announce the first wave of new dates. I can’t wait to see you all soon, it’s going to be special,” he wrote on Instagram.
The singer-songwriter first announced his world tour — which skipped Perth — in late 2019 and has now rescheduled his dates in Sydney and Melbourne and added new shows in Brisbane before finishing the tour in Perth.
The 29-year-old sold more than 100 million records with One Direction and his solo music has garnered more than one billion streams.
“I feel like a new artist now. It’s taken a while for me to be comfortable on my own, to learn to trust my gut and make sure I get what I want,” he said.
“I feel the most confident I’ve ever been, both as a songwriter and a singer, and the most mature. Of course I want to be successful, but what matters is what my music means to me and what it means to the fans. That’s the priority. The rest we’ll have to wait and see.”
