Table-topping Queensland have elected to bowl in their Sheffield Shield clash with Tasmania in Hobart, where left-arm spinner Matt Kuhnemann is debuting for the visitors in the injury-enforced absence of Mitchell Swepson.
Test squad member Swepson, the leading wicket-taker in the Shield hub earlier this summer, has a neck injury.
Queensland quick Michael Neser, who has been on the cusp of making his Test debut in recent years, is unavailable because of a hamstring injury.
Test skipper Tim Paine is captaining Tasmania.
