Prince Charles has visited the London hospital his father Prince Philip remains after feeling unwell.
Philip, who turns 100 in June, was admitted to King Edward VII’s hospital on Tuesday as a precautionary measure and he walked unaided into the medical centre.
Charles was seen arriving at the hospital on Saturday afternoon, stepping out of a Tesla car wearing a face mask. His visit lasted just over an hour.
Philip, the Duke of Edinburgh and the husband of the Queen, is in hospital for an undisclosed ailment that is not related to coronavirus.
He is likely to remain in hospital for observation and rest over the weekend and into next week, a royal source said on Friday.
“As we have said previously the doctor is acting with an abundance of caution. The Duke remains in good spirits,” the source told PA news agency.
Charles is the first member of the royal family to visit Philip since he was admitted for observation and rest.
