The new look Western Force will fine tune their game in their only pre-season trial against the Brumbies next month.

They have confirmed the clash with the reigning Super Rugby AU champions on February 6 at Viking Park before opening their season against the ACT side at HBF Park 13 days later.

The game will likely see a return to Canberra for centre Tevita Kuridrani who signed for the Force this season while Kyle Godwin, Toni Pulu, Tomas Cubelli, Angus Wagner and Ian Prior all played for the ACT club.

Force coach Tim Sampson also coached Tuggeranong at Viking Park .

The Force had been hoping for a second trial against the Queensland Reds but because of COVID-19 restrictions Super teams agreed to one game each.

Head of rugby Matt Hodgson said: “The squad has been training extremely hard and last recent pre-season camp provided the perfect platform for the team to gel.

“The players are raring to go and can’t wait to play together ahead of round one.”
